When the borrower needs a mortgage to buy a property it is expected that
he will go straight to a lender. Such corporations that would be able
to provide the capital needed for this venture are banks, building societies
or specialist lenders. This would be subject to the credit history of
the borrower, i.e. have they ever failed to meet repayments during a set
period, do they currently have other loans that they are paying and how
much their annual salary is. Only after these areas have been investigated
can a lender approve a mortgage or re-mortgage for the borrower.
